Aftermath Of Hell

The sky above is more clouded than blue,
The ground is potted and laid to waste.
Everything is quiet, the wildlife is few,
Death surrounds us with a dislikeful taste.

No more shouts and cries,
No more blazing through the random weather.
A lone soldier collapses before he dies,
With blood running from under his belt of leather.

The day seems young, yet it seems so long,
Devastation and excitement fill the air more.
Emerging like rabbits to join in with the song,
The fight is over, no killing, no war.
