I stood
on the edge of a cliff
contemplating

listening
admiring
adoring
as the sky turned red
on a cloudless day
and a radiant giant
went to sleep

as a calming shadow
and his pale dish wife
rose
to take their seats

as gulls settled down
and crickets sang in nearby grass
ad the distant giants
came out to dance.
