Wouldn't It Be Nice

Wouldn’t It Be Nice

There’s a world out there
And I’m in here
Alone I sit, holding back the tear
Won’t break down, don’t want you to be scarred
But my life’s a drone, it wouldn’t matter if I was dead.

Wouldn’t it be nice, if you could take the time
To listen to my feelings and help my life rhyme
How it would fit together
Make me happy just forever
To know there is a friend
With which my time I can spend.

The emptiness is killing
The echoes are quite chilling
Alone I sit and ponder
If I can take this any longer
As my life slowly drifts on by
Empty, deserted, dry

Wouldn’t it be nice, if I could take the time
To listen to your feelings and help your life rhyme
How it would fit together
Make you happy just forever
To know there is a friend
With which your time I can spend.

When I wrote this piece I imagined it as a song in my head and played it as I wrote to help give it a better flow to the structure. Not the best subject in the world but it's how I feel inside, and most probably forever will. (hi btw to my poet friends)
