Three Shades Of Grey

In this fog
I cannot see,
The dangers that lie
Right in front of me.

I take a step,
I walk my ground.
Leaving my past
No memories no sound

I walk this portal
With solitude walls,
Drying my pain
As heavy rain falls.

I lost my sight.
I live life blind
To the problems that surround.
My life is mimed.

With a wish worth wishing,
I wish in a well.
Found in hope’s garden,
Which time hope does tell.

Floating with freedom,
Flourished with constraints.
I am a prisoner,
Ignored are my complaints.

Build a better future,
Where the birds still song.
Singing hope’s praises,
No don’ts of wrong.

Clear away the fog,
Hold the drizzle in your eye.
Till the change for better,
Then release that burdened sigh.

Don’t see in black and white,
But in three shades of grey.
Sketch the picture’s outlines,
And colour on another day.
